You loose sound quality streaming BT audio, lots of compression loses and you can defo hear the difference.

gotta be honest i can barely tell, i have been told using other phones like nokia the quality is poor, but i can honestly say there is hardly any difference playing my iphone through bt

I do agree with this. The bandwidth of the Bluetooth technology (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile - A2DP) limits the quality of stereo audio. May be barely noticeable on a factory stereo mind. But on an expensive reference quality system, it is obvious. I have tested it. Don't think phone brand effects it, as they all use the same transfer protocol.

That said, I'm very impressed with what you have done. A very slick solution. Have been thinking about locations to mount my phone, and that hadn't even occurred to me! Might have to copy that idea. And for that I give you rep! The Samsung Galaxy S phone has a direct output to feed my Sat Nav housing screen, it would be great mounted there, as a touchscreen controller displaying on the 7" screen, for media and sat nav. A pity that is not the phone I have really!
