If the bolt breaks the head off then problem solved?

Phil what I think moley was saying that the new welded bolt would snap, but if you only had about 8mm long thread and built it up with weld then it should come out.

17mm bolt head and 12-14mm thread should do the job, but you would need a very competent welder like moley to build the weld up for strength

Phil01 weld a short bolt over the top of the original fitting and then use a socket to remove the complete bolt

I would be more than happy to weld it if you had all the equipment .

I actually meant the original bolt head would break.

I still think a good bit of heat would be the answer

Have you tried a nut/bolt splitter mate to crack the top of the bolt? if its cracked you can usually break the top off and pull out the tube? which then gives you access to the top of the thread, and being able to hold the part in a vice, giving you better room to work with to remove the threaded part thats left?

try using a hacksaw and saw down the flat sie of the allen key hole/wobbly to the bottom of the head of the bolt. after removing the slice you should be able to lever the wobbbly out and drill the bolt head.

Had a thought. Go to your local motor factors and buy or borrow a locking wheel nut removing tool.
It is like a socket that fits over the head and has self cutting teeth that cuts into the head of a nut or bolt when you turn it anti clockwise. much the same why as an easi out.

Good shout. I've got a set of those and they'd work well for that.
