Looking at putting some CCFL's in the IS, I'm just wondering what temp to go for, and which company?

I've seen some 5000k on Hids4u but some 8000k on fleabay.

Which temp looks best in your opinion (don't want it looking daft being too bright, but do want to be able to see them!)

I'd like a quality product, so I'm a bit unsure about buying from ebay to honest, not everyone is out to con though i suppose..

If I were to get new ones I'd definitely go for LED halos as I suspect they are a lot mor reliable than CCFLs. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/01-05-Lex...455wt_1165

They look great, and things have obviously moved on since i last fitted a pair to my old BMW.

However, $189???? Also, is there no issue in shipping to the UK?

As i can't seem to edit my post, will they also fit the is200? I see they are listed for the 300 and isn't there some differences in the two headlamps?

I agree, the tech to go for these days is SMD LEDs, not CCFL. The colour temperature effects the colour, more than the brightness. 8000k will be slightly blue, 5000k will be bright while. Hids4u started as an ebay company IIRC? Don't be afraid to shop on ebay, there are many thousands of reputable companies trading on there, and often the same products as their own websites, but cheaper! It is important to check a sellers feedback though, and avoid any with recent bad comments.

They will fit fine, it's only the size of the rings, and that is the same on the 300. It's just a US listing, where they never got the 200.

OK buddy, cheers for that! I've just been on to AAC in the US (can't find any in the UK!) and they gave me 2 quotes for shipping:

1st was $45, 2nd was £144! I nearly spilt my coffee!

I'm sure you should be able to find some in the uk just keep hunting

Cheers Pat,

Been having a search, and have found these with better shipping price (not arsed about the strobing, you need a seperate box anyway and it looks chav!) but just as a normal led it looks good i think. Anyone have experience of these, any american members?
