the rear arch mounting for the trd skirts
the rear arch mounting for the trd skirts
well as yous know i bought bandits skirts off him and as yous know their is no fitting kit sold..
so you have to stick the skirts on with 3m tape but at the rear arch their is two holes but you can only use one due to the other being too far away from the arch lip..well i fitted daves skirts for him and one of the skirts came with part of the mounting kit..i forgot i had this till i was sweeping up the garage..
i thought to myself i could make that....
so heres how....
the hole at the back arch
the mounting off daves skirt
the metal i used to make the mount
the metal cut
my mountings fitted with speed clips beside the trd mounting
mountings all painted
all fitted
look how tight the skirt is to the arch
(make sure its fitted... mount.....then arch then skirt)
when you tighten the bolt the shape inside of the arch lip really pulls the skirt in
job done it and you dont have that funny hole...:thumbup::thumbup:
Cool stuff  Can you make a couple up for me? I'll pay whatever for the materials
i think i have enough of that metal bar left to make you a set mate..if you come to mine once they are made ill fit them...as the size varies from car to car and i have a grinder at the house
 Works for me matey Many thanks!
edit: ruddy thing won't let me rep you again till I rep other people...
Just found this post while looking for the fitting guide as I've got myself some skirts now.
Just to check, that little clip you've made is wedged down the back of the arch lip, and then sandwiches the arch lip between the clip and the skirt yes?
Correct mate ...it pulls the skirt tight into the arch..the ones I made are the same as the trd ones...
Spot on, I'll have a go at making a couple at work on Monday. Rep added for the thread :thumbup1:
