Does anyone any else have central locking which is absolutely mental?

Sometimes it's fine but other times when I unlock the car from the inside then open the door the mechanism keeps trying to lock/unlock itself repetitively this can occur for up to ten times in a row until it gets bored and goes back to normal Huh

Any ideas what could be causing it or where to even start looking as I have no idea lol.

I think Dave does, but it was only fitted a couple of weeks back at JAE.

I have it too, though never had this problem on either of my IS200s.

I seem to remember it happening another car I had though (late 90s Toyota.) I guess they use a lot if the same electronics? I never found the cause, just lived with it, as it was only very occasional.

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

I do, but the clicking of the locks was happening long before that was fitted.

Actually since it was fitted (along with the rest of the full closure kit) I've noticed that the clicking is happening less often...

Probably not the same thing at all but my supra started locking and unlocking itself non stop a while back and after ages with electrical engineers unable to find a reason, my mechanic found slight corrosion inside the door locks. I believe he took them out, cleaned them up, popped them back and it's never happened since.
