ad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. ad:I'm sure I bought one at one point! No idea where I put it though. Might be with my front and rear speaker spacers, flashing brake light bulbs, OEM headunit and a few other Lexus items... wherever that might be. I'd better have a search of my storage space (Mum's house!)

Was a adjustable gas strut from RS Components with two rose joints either end, then an "L" shaped bracket that was riveted back to the wall made from aluminium angle.
it used the factory hole in the O/S arm and worked for several years and is still going now with the new owner.
Cost if split between two people buying the strut was about £25
One thing to be carefull of though is when i tested mine and it nearly put my bootlid through the rear window from too much gas pressure! came up in a fraction of a second.
Let nearly all the air out of it and it will be fine... will see if i can dig the other damper out to get you some part numbers..

i made one for my lex a long time ago and LOC took away the thread detailing how to make your own as they thought it was trading
Was a adjustable gas strut from RS Components with two rose joints either end, then an "L" shaped bracket that was riveted back to the wall made from aluminium angle.
