Sparkystav Just the positional memory mate, never fitted one in my car so didnt know they did the open/close routine when you turn the car over!

Ahhh I see, it does it because when you put the key in the 'start' position the ignition feed is lost for a second and the screen thinks you've turned the car off. So I just wired a small capacitor accross the IGN and earth wires to keep the circuit live while the engine starts Smile And then you have to put a diode on the IGN wire to stop it draining to earth.

And yes I did mean to say IGN wire, because as I'm sure you know the electrons travel from negative to positive despite what everyone assumes...

Looking a bit like mine probably won't be available.

EDIT:
el_bandido Sorted.

I didn't sell mine to El Bandido. (Just realised it looked that way, and thought I'd mention it!)

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

see i really only want an empty one, as im going to fix my iphone into it using the grom, so when car starts, it will rise, my music will start and artist information will be displayed, also passenger can watch movies, also i have sat nav on the phone which is good. so for me this is the ultimate solution. i will have the new iphone 4s soon so my 3gs is redundant, will make a great screen and music source

Having had a 7" screen on my setup I think you'll find an iphone is far too small, especially if people in the back will be watching it. But if you've got a spare iPhone it can't hurt to try it and find out Smile

Well you were lucky you didnt but the one from driftworks.

just recived it today, not circuitry in it to lift it up and down, he must have moved it manually, also missing the top piece that covers the screws. will need a lot of work to look tidy, but luckily i have plans!!!!
