Hey guys,

Wonder if you can help.
One of my numberplate lights has packed up. I tried changing the bulb but it didn't make any difference so guess its the socket but how do you get the whole thing out?

I thought you might be able to get to it from the boot but i couldn't see a way. To be fair i didn't strip all the boot lining out. Do i just have to unscrew it and then slide it out one of the two holes?

Cheers

You should be able to unscrew it as you said ( same as bulb change) and lift the housing out so you can inspect it for any damage. Mine went on one of my old MR2's a few years back and it simply turned out to be a bit of water had rusted the wire..

I spoke to a mate of mine and he said you have one black holder either side of the number plate.to remove you will have to open the boot remove the trim from panel and you will see two nuts [if i remember]you will have too loosen them and the unit will come away.dont try and twist the plastic on the outside,it will break.
