I'm not going to post a how to as there are many many of these available on the tinterweb but i will post a few photos of my experience with them and how they looked.

I do have the chance to possibly sort out a group buy for these subject to enough interest and admin approval or I can put you in touch with the man I bought them from. I must say though, they aren't cheap but then your paying for quality (in my opinion!)

These particular angel eyes are different in the fact that they don't need an external voltage regulator and have resistors every 3 led's to keep them stable.

Anyway, some pictures:

I split the headlights in the oven 100c for about 5 mins and while I was doing that I got the old woman cleaning out out all the old glue using her old hairdryer

While she was doing that, I sanded, primed and painted the inside and fitted the angel eyes. These are very easy, just drill a tiny hole to pass the wires through and stick them down with the attached 3M tape.

I then stuck them back together using black silicon sealant pump into the channel that was left after removing the old glue. If there is some glue left, then reheat the unit to soften the old glue and it makes it easier to push the lens back fully home. I also de-tangoed at this point but i'm not over happy with the bulbs I chose so I aim to change them.

As each of the rings come with 2 wires (obviously!) I decided to solder them together to clean up the wiring into the car. I then refitted them, wired them to the sidelights and the result was this during the day (not the best photos!)

and this in the evening

I must say they are very bright, even in the day and personally I much prefer them to CCFL's.

Anyway, if there is enough interest, I'll make the call to find out a price but expect them to be around $200 (american). I will say that there are cheaper available, but these do come with external voltage regualtors or poor quality. Also, the after sales back up from this guy is top notch, even given the time difference he will email back asap, or you can call him and he will normally answer.

If there's only a few then I'll put you in touch.

Good work on the SMD's, I'd definitely be up for a set if you arrange some sort of group buy Smile I think they'd match the LED strips in my bumper nicely.

Nice work and the smd's look really good. It does get scarey when your sticking lights in the oven.. went through the same when i did my leds on my rear lights on the MR2.

I want a set. Remind me when you do a group buy! The CCFL ones I've got are ok, not as nice looking as those though.
