I need to be able to read my fuel trims via OBD. Ideally I'd like the scanner to be USB enabled with its own plotting software so I can collect graphs.

I already have a Scangauge with X-Gauge, which _should_ be able to read fuel trims using the codes in the URL below, but for some reason its not working.

Is this a good pick:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ELM327-v1-4-US...23131a1b51

There seems to be lots of cheaper ones on ebay but they either have no software or really basic software

I'm still playing with Torque (the android app) on my phone. I didn't get reliable connections with the cheapo adapter I had, so I sprung for a slightly better PLX Kiwi one (it's bluetooth connecting rather than USB) and it's working pretty well so far.

Course I have no idea what half of the information it retrieves means, but hell it looks pretty cool  Phil tried the same thing but he wasn't getting the data through responsively enough; doesn't seem to be a problem with the new adapter Smile Had a look on eBay and bought mine for £50 plus a few quid for p&p but mostly they seem to go for £80 odds from what I can see... That plus £2.95 for the app from the Market made a fairly cheap setup for me...

Also Torque allows you to define custom PIDs if you can get your mitts on them, so if it's Fuel Trim you want and it's not already available, you can just add it Big Grin

IS200 Sport - Sold
Mazda 6 MPS - Zoom Zoom!

Modifications
Completed:

Currently 280bhp/295lbft; 3" Meercat custom exhaust; KW Suspension; FMIC; SSP; HPFP; Custom Stainless Steel Dials - for the moment, the only set in the world!! (Till the group buy for MPSOC anyway  )

In Progress:

E-Tuning remap ongoing via Cobb Accessport; Braided brake lines; Stubby aerial; Tinted repeaters and sidelights; 3 Port Boost Control Solenoid; 3" HTP Intake

In answer to Jim question

That one is the newer level to the one that sells for around £18 it has a few more graph's on.

Rabster and I have a lot more detail that we can use through a pc but as you know we use centrafuse and you do not get as much detail.
Most ebay user send you the attachment with password to get this running.
Not sure you need the latest version but this is of course your choice...

I've had the elm327 for a couple of years now and its a good bit of kit, use it with the pro-scan software, which does loads of graphs, 0-60, dyno, fuelling, etc also lets you record the info and do print outs of it :thumbup1: if you download it i think i can still pass on the unlock codes for the program which will let you update to the newer versions of the program as there released :thumbup1:

PROSCAN SOFTWARE LINKY HERE?
