I have a toyota altezza with the yamaha beams engine and was wondering if anyone knows whether the coilpacks are different to the lexus is200 ones and if so does anyone have a part number?

Toyota part number: 90919-02236

I do not think they are the same as the Lexus ones.


EDIT: More part numbers for you:

90919-02227 ST215 Caldina 3SGTE
90919-02230 GXE10 Altezza AS200/Lexus IS200 1GFE vvt-i
90919-02239 ZZE120 Corolla 1ZZFE
90919-02240 NZE121 Corolla 2NZFE
90919-02236 SXE10 Altezza RS200 3SGE Beams dual vvt-i

I think this proves they are not the same. The 1GFE and the 3SGE engines certainly require a different part. It also confirms the part number I quoted above.

Just to be absolutely sure, it is an RS200 with the 4 cylinder 3S-GE engine we're talking about here isn't it? Remember that the Altezza AS200 still says BEAMS on the engine cover, even though it has a 1G-FE engine.

thanks Stoney for the info. Toxo yes it is the 3S-GE engine. Does anyone know where I can pick up a good set of these without having to pay the £130 per coilpack toyota have quoted me? Confusedhock:

In 2001 they revised the part number for the RS200 coilpack to 90919-02239 which is the same as the Yaris, Corolla, MK3 MR2 and Celica. I'm not sure that helps you though.

You could try Texas Toyota, if you want to run the risk of import tax. They are at http://www.toyota-parts.com/
