jimxms Nah, at the moment I'm tempted by a Jag XJR 4.2 Supercharged.

Ideally I'd like to have gone with another jap car, but I cant find anything that suits my needs and budget Sad

I've been half tempted to go back to an IS300 as I miss mine sooo bad, but I know I'll want it to be just like my old one, and that's just another money black hole waiting to happen.

hope you find what you want mate.....thats a lot of motor for the money:thumbup1:

I so know how Jim feels - I so miss Trans Am, the Celica is OK but no muscle car.

Thx boys. I just need to find a car that will make me smile when I see it across the car park. I also miss the approving comments it used to receive.

Good luck with the sale, it's definitely a lot of car for the money.

Did you ever consider the S55 btw? The last gen S-class is looking a bit dated now but it is a fantastic engine..............

Know what you mean though, the LS is a perfectly good car, but hard to describe it as a desirable object.

Yeah I'm pretty sure i looked at the S55 AMG. I quite like the look of it, but the performance didn't exactly seem face-melting for a 5L and the insurance was group 20 or something silly. Worked out to be almost 1.5x more to insure than the Lex Confused

If the rear of the LS was a bit more interesting I think I could grow to like it. Even a bit of a crease in the boot lid, or a less square set of lights could really help. It just looks a bit like they took an LS400, redesigned the front and then got bored.

I wonder if they are copying Porsche design methods there:lol:

I think you should go for it, you won't be looking to sell that in a couple of weeks. Plus, if you decide to subtly modify it, it'll be one of the only modded ones around!

Errr, are you talking about the S500 or S55? The S55 has 500bhp and 0-60 in about 4.7 seconds (which to me is face melting for a 2 ton barge :biggrinSmile

Understand the insurance problem though :Sulk:

*shrugs* I know sweet FA about Mercs tbh. Had to look at google images to work out which ones on Autotrader I liked the shape of. lol

This is what I had bookmarked though:

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/a...?logcode=p

Guessing its a S500, despite the owner putting S55 in the advert title?
