T'is true that it won't win any style awards, that engine is a pretty powerful beast when played with a bit.

Aye...which is both a good thing...and a very bad thing :p

Another car that fits the criteria is a BMW 545 or an older M3. But I don't know if I could bring myself to drive one after the amount I slag owners off.

BMW, Volvo, Saab all make cars that could fit your requirements but all have "style" issues - if you care what other people think that is.

Aye, this is the problem. And when I don't like Audi's and the only Merc's I like are the latest shape, it really limits the options.

I've also seen a few newer shape (2007) Impreza WRX 2.5 Turbo's with leather interiors. Problem is I think they might be too harsh a drive for the family, and whenever I see a Scooby done up like a WRX rally version or one with a loud exhaust, it makes me want to slap the owner.

(sorry guys!)

I'm beginning to wonder if there's a car that meets my criteria in the UK. Maybe I should move to the USA so I can get a proper meaty car :p

I did get excited earlier though, pulled out of a junction in the LS with TRC off and smoked the tyres all the way down the road. Couldn't reproduce it later tho!

Not the W12 :w00t:

But not really going to find one of those for £10k nor is it particularly good looking.

jimxms Another car that fits the criteria is a BMW 545 or an older M3. But I don't know if I could bring myself to drive one after the amount I slag owners off.
Right from the start of this quest the car I've had in the back of mind as perfect for your needs is the 545 - stonking performance, great drive, plenty of space, but none of the hassles of an actual M car.

However, at this point I really think the car that would be almost perfect for you would be an S8 (unless it's too big in which case an S6, but not really keen on the previous shape, the newer shape will probably be around £15-20k, although that has the awesome Lambo V10 so worth the extra imho!)

To me the S8 is uber cool - I love how understated and classy it is, while really being able to shift when required.

It's one of the few cars that would actually tempt me into an Audi (the only other really being the R8)

Weirdest "For Sale" thread I've ever read.... No pictures of the car that's up for sale and pages of discussion on what the seller should buy next!

Methinks Jim needs to reflect upon his sales technique just a touch here

IS200 Sport - Sold
Mazda 6 MPS - Zoom Zoom!

Modifications
Completed:

Currently 280bhp/295lbft; 3" Meercat custom exhaust; KW Suspension; FMIC; SSP; HPFP; Custom Stainless Steel Dials - for the moment, the only set in the world!! (Till the group buy for MPSOC anyway  )

In Progress:

E-Tuning remap ongoing via Cobb Accessport; Braided brake lines; Stubby aerial; Tinted repeaters and sidelights; 3 Port Boost Control Solenoid; 3" HTP Intake
