I've worked on cars for years,(not anymore) and watched numerous windscreens fitted, but I never heard of a windscreen dam. Can someone explain?

Windscreen Dam Seal fits on the body before Eurethane application.

I used to see windscreen dam written on insurance reports when I worked in the motor trade ( a long time ago).. meaning windscreen damage

[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] That symbol on the side of my door.. Definition by FirebirdPhil 'Translated it means -
"try to overtake - go on give it a go I dare you......."

I just found a pick of the stuff, its a foam type strip that we used to use for inside the bond to stop headlining touching and to make sure the screen didn't go to low againts the body.

Also used it to redirect water under a scuttle plate of the old Ford Focus to stop water getting into the cabin filter and pooling on the passanger footwell.

Hope that helps
