I did have a little search but didn't find anything, I have P0336 crankshaft sensor A circuit fault coming up via OBD. Anyone got some clue where it is, is it easy to swap the sensor yourself? Any info would be great.

Thanks..

Looking at the repair manual it looks very easy:

"Life's goal is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body. But, rather to skid in sideways........
totally worn out and broken, shouting 'Holy ****, WHAT A RIDE!'"

The image turned green for some reason?
Its the step by step guide from the Workshop manual, this one is 4 steps long.

Possibly, it will be a IPTA to start if it fails, at least you will know where to start looking, is it worth checking the bolt is tight enough I think they earth through the bolt???

They earth through the bolt holding it in.

Have you had anything done in the engine recently?

Had a service recently but had driven about 40 miles since the service b4 error. hope for a dodgy wire, only thing worse than an intermittent fault is a catistrophic one !!

Sump was replaced as oil plug threaded.

Thanks to all for feedback tho. :thumb:

I'd be amazed if it ran properly with a broken crank position sensor, so yeah, dodgy wire would be my guess.

RRobert I did have a little search but didn't find anything, I have P0336 crankshaft sensor A circuit fault coming up via OBD. Anyone got some clue where it is, is it easy to swap the sensor yourself? Any info would be great.

Thanks..
