Hi guys long time no see, i would like your help if you can!! i have an IS and someone ran into me last month, and the ins are saying its a cat/D rightoff where the cost to do the work is more than the car!! to me the car dont look that bad i just think it need a new bumper and thats that, but any way how do i go about get new ins for it now its a cat/D rightoff ??

if it is cat d you have to fix the problem, then have it mot'd and have a VIC test done, very simple process i have just done it so pm me if you want any more info.
My insurance company just wanted to see the MOT and VIC test and they were happy, no increase in premiums but the payout will be less if it gets written off again

you norm get to buy the car back for about 10% of the vehicle value but as above easy to sort out just less pay out on another claim if ever happens and less price when sold on
