Mikey is200/s13 ^^ whats the matter with the Merc Jim

- New autobox and radiator required (glycol contamination in tranny oil),
- Perished rubber seal on intake almost got ingested by engine (but luckily got caught by the throttle body)
- Rear air suspension leak (slow one - after a week of standing the car is on bump stops)
- valve cover gaskets need replacing (leaking oil onto exhaust headers after a hard drive)

So yeah, German cars are sh*te. At least it's not my problem tho as I've dumped it back with the dealer and he can foot the bill or give me a refund.

Oh yeah and I need 4 new tyres as the dealer decided to put the cheapest tyres on it possible to get it thru MOT. Ditchfinders on a 500bhp car, in the winter = almost inevitable death.

Yeah nothing other than a recovery truck because it broke down two roads from my house and the RAC wouldn't tow it back for me lol.

I'm trying to keep positive tho. If all of this stuff goes belly up now then soon the whole car will have been replaced.

2tongues Bet your glad the bill won't be dropping on your floor.

I've heard that MB charge something silly like £5k for a tranny rebuild, so yeah you could say I'm 'glad' :p

Just fortunate that I noticed the problem tbh. My dad is a bit of a petrol head and when he took the car out for a test drive he didn't notice it. Nor did the Mrs pick up on any of the weird shifting things I pointed out to her when we was out driving.
