Hi mate, yeh was cracking to meet you and Toxo! Big Grin Thanks mate, I'll definitely try to get her to some meets! Smile

Should have the last few bumps and rattles fixed tomorrow Smile

And Dan, your Supra is seriously mint, have to say you've sorted it really really well! And my dads face after that ride... It was brilliant! Must have killed him to then get into a 1989 Corolla with a 1.6 engine he couldn't rev beyond 4k due to the rebuild

If you can make it to another meet then let me know dude as I'll do what I can to get there. May be in one of the other GTi's seeing as mine is now off the road for the winter!

As said, it was great to meet you both and I hope to see more of you and your motors in the coming show season. Smile

Haha thanks bud, she's doing ok although I shall be parking far far away from yours at shows lol as it will make mine look like it's been driven through a hedge haha, was simply stunned at how mint it that is.

Lol anytime your dad wants a ride in the Supra he's welcome although I think it's your turn next, although i'm interested in seeing his Skyline too and he has to take me out in that :p

Got that ****** rattling sorted again not 30 minutes ago. I tell you it is colder than a polar bears nuts out there!

I wanted to see if she'd start and she does after some persuasion - she cranks over very strongly but the fuel is a month old.

Basically I whipped off the PAS Belt and she still rattled when I ran her. I then removed the Water Pump Belt and the rattling stopped. Bingo.

I faffed for 20 odd minutes to get the pulley off, scrape off all the paint and then chamfer the pump spindle to make fitting easier. We got it all back together and started her with no issues, she ran beautifully as usual; Oil Pressure was perfect, Battery Voltage perfect and she idled like a dream right through all stages of cold start. I switched her off once I got to feel light headed

A simple and encouraging finish for xmas!

KP month old fuel will be OK still - its only when its several months old there may be an issue. Trans Am started on the 1st turn of the key when she was collected - fuel was 2 months old by then.

-2 is chilly for an engine.

Got a little of the way to the solution today - stripped down the Front O/S Calliper and greased the dry sliders along with the pads, they were bone dry and stuck.

Having put it back it freed off a little but it was still too tight. It's pretty well confirmed that the Calliper Piston has stopped retracting. Not sure why the system feels weak though, the hoses are fine and there isn't a leak to be seen so it's an air lock somewhere annoyingly.
