Hi,

You can blame sparkystav and jay_russell for directing me to the dark side - began at the LOC but they both said that I'd should hang out here... :thumbup1:

I'm Marko and I've just started a company called SpeedView Displays. Selling a little gadget that projects speed onto your windscreen, a lot like a Defi Link VSD but without quite all the features/installation hassle - oh, and the price tag!

See here: http://www.speedview.co and harass me on [email protected]

I'll be asking to recruiting some test pilots shorthly, but enough about work though - toy time! Big Grin

Here's my mid engined turbo charged toy with 50-50 weight distribution...

[Image: fullscreen-capture-28112011-221149-bmp.jpg]

It had an 8 valve pushrod carbed 2.3 petrol in at first, which did 15mpg, had 50 bhp, needed leaded, and took a shade over 30 secs to hit 60. The insurers wouldn't let me put a 2.5 turbo-diseasel in, but any smaller engine was fine. (I was 17 at the time) Any engine I asked? Any you like, so long as its smaller. I didn't ask twice!

Engine came from a Rover 220 Coupe Turbo, big intercooler, boost set to 'many' and it was so small that the front of it ended up a metre behind the front bumper, and the weight distribution came out at 53-47 empty! Leaf springs and drum brakes, front and rear! Confusedhock:

I also own 1/3 of what seemed like a really really good idea in the pub. **** you eBay for Android:

Ex Westminster long wheelbase XJ8 4.0 V8 sovereign with a few mods. 17 1/2 feet long with sills from 150x150x5 mm high strength square hollow section to stop it folding in half or twisting too much. No roof, for we are optimists. Will it be finished in 2012? The men from the ministry love it though. "When you bring it in for the IVA (Individual Vehicle Approval, as it need re-registering now) can you make sure its a Thursday or a Friday please? I'd like to make sure I get to see it..." "Are you nearly finished yet?"

The sensible daily:

You'll probably all pass me on the track, but at least I'm still facing forwards at the time!

The cost about 20 pence to insure, the engines/gearboxes are completely indestructible, and they're a riot on the B-roads. That's my excuse anyhow!

Hello anyways, and hope to meet most of you at JAE 2012, if not before!

Hi, welcome. I love that Landy, and your little box of tricks looks clever.

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

I was going to PM you Marko, but it looks as though you may not have that feature enabled?

I'd be interested in testing one of the HUD kits, though I guess Stav already has the Lexus IS200 covered? I could fit it to my Pug 106 or V8 Discovery instead though, and test it on them!
