New lil beastie and the lex's last stand
So, me and the mrs bought our first house last feb. I had the expensive to run lex and she had a rusting p reg corsa with sunburnt skin. we said we'd replace her car first as it was just a mess(albeit very reliable and great value)
so end of last month before new year we part ex'd her car for a citroen c1 59 plate. they had put some petrol in when we bought it and we added about £35.00 quid, done around 230 miles and half a tank still left. 20 quid to tax for a year and the best bit is a toyota engine so it should be very reliable,
the only thing is, if it proves to be everything we need for cheap how can i justify keeping a 25mpg £260 tax a year car anymore! i really want to keep the lex as its been great the 4+ years i have had it but the reality is i think its on borrowed time
Lol, I get the cost of running thing but you can't say that a C1 is a viable replacement for an IS200 surely? :tongue_smilie:
Granted the savings must be great but surely that means you have more money to spare with having such a cheap car to run rather than a corsa that was still high in tax and such.
I would say keep it and see how it goes then if needs be sell it
When I got the Prius I hated it to start with - after a while it became my favourite car for a long time. Its just getting used to the difference - a C1 would not have been on my list the Toyota would have been 1st choice but thats because I am a Toyota fan.
