The Bumble Beams
The Bumble Beams
Time for a small update methinks.
I stumbled across a torque damper on ebay last week for £65 so thought I'd give it a go.

Some progress on the painting of the wheels too. I decided I'd paint the wheels myself in my shed so bought myself a compressor, primer, paints, lacquer, scotch pads, tack rags, thinners, panel wipe etc.
wheels in primer:
decided I'd do my spare engine cover too:
Next I though I'd better clean out the garage If I wanted the finished wheels to look any good. Then I painted the lips pinky/purple:
....and the engine cover:
Liking the new colours!
Small update:
I bought myself a purple engine spider (HKS Circle Earth) and fitted it.
I bought it mostly as a bit more dress up for the engine bay although the car does now idle a lot smother. Haven't driven the car since I fitted it but I'm not expecting the gains that it's supposed to provide.
It was quite easy to fit although all the instructions were in Japanese. I had to relocate a few cables due to bolts not undoing or sheering off.
That looks pimping mate. What exactly is it supposed to do?
You coming to ace by the way?
Yeah, should be at ace. Not definite yet though.
It grounds a lot of components together which in turn is supposed to improve all sorts of things like idle, throttle response, headlight brightness, audio, etc... Supposedly some people have reported gains of over 10bhp (on an RX7) but I'm a bit sceptical. I didn't buy it expecting power gains.
Love the colour of the rims Kev, I might pop up one night and see the car in the flesh.
