Hi all,

As the title say I'm in need of a 3G-SE gen 2 engine. One of the members seanyboy has a problem were his engine went kaput (bottom end) and we need a new lump.

Its for his celica GTR import Auto.

This engine was fitted to the celica and MR2s from 1989-93

If anyone can help that would be great

Thanks in advance for your help people

It would be a Celica GT not a GTR.

There are also some minor revisions of the engine within the 'revision 2' bracket. What year is his car?

Could be time for a swap up to a revision 3 n/a engine? Bit more poke and better fuel economy, not too difficult a swap.

Its definitely the GT-R, 4WS. Gen 5 ST183.

Its a 1991 Import.

Just needs the block, as everything else is fine. He just wants a straight swop with minimal hassle, but im sure he would be open to outlaw opinions Smile

Ah right the blocks are the same between the 2 revisions of that engine so no big deal, it's the inlet manifold and associated gubbins that are different.

TBH a rev3 swap would be a pain anyway because you'd have to find one with an auto ECU. I'd get onto the MR2 breakers like gtschris and mr2ben on eBay.

I have two spare Celica engines. 95 and 97 though.

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:
