Recently bought two JBL GT-4 competition spec subs off a mate and need an amp upgrade.

The subs run at 1000w each PEAK and 250w RMS

Think you've over speced your amp a bit, anything other than RMS wattage is basically just a made up number by the manufacturer. All you need is a 500W RMS amp, shoudn't be too difficult/expensive to get hold of.

Well I was going to just try and invest in a high spec amp so i don't have to change it when I upgrade the system again if you get where I'm coming from, was even thinking of adding to the sub count lol never enough bass XD

What car is this going in?

I really rate the Hifonics Brutus bass amps, plenty of stable reliable power for a reasonable price.

By adding a Hifonics MBC1 the bass experience is enhanced 10 fold if you use mp3 (and similar) compressed files.

It's going into my next long term car, which as of yet I haven't decided on, not going to bother putting it in my current Saxo as its not worth wasting my time, it's a temporary car lol

That's the truth lol.

I have all the amps ready to do an install into either the Trans Am or the Celica, not sure which car to spend the time on. Once I decide on the car I will get the speakers and build amp racks etc
