Advice on new video camera?
Advice on new video camera?
Basically I'd like to start doing video filming and editing seeing as I already do the photo side of things. But video cameras aren't a technology I've been keeping track of really, so does anyone have any advice on what to look for?
High resolution is a must, I guess 1080p is pretty standard now?
Capability to shoot high frame rate at full 1080p, so maybe 120fps as that give nice smooth slo-mo footage?
Not really sure what else to look for?
I'd rather just put the extra money towards a dedicated video camera as I already have a DSLR. My dads bridge camera can do HD video, but the resolutions drops rapidly as the framerate increases.
According to Which? Cannon, Sony and Panasonic are all best buys - no surprise there!!
Cannon Legira HF-S21 comes out best (nearly £900)
Cannon Legira HF-S20 next
Sony - HDR-CX700
Canon - HF20
Canon - Legria HF S200
Panasonic - HDC-SDT750 (3D at £700)
Bottom of the best buys is the Panasonic - HDC-SD60 but at £400 its cheap as chips!!

Done a bit more research and it seems the best value is a bundle which contains the above mentioned camera, a 18-55mm lens and a 55-250mm lens. So thats probably what i'd go for, so price me up Rabs
Yay, rabs, would you be able to check suppliers too for a GoPro HD Hero motorsport kit please
