yes its just a case of swapping the guts over to make it work i did the same in my Is200 a few years back
you could try calling Lexus Parts Direct you can find them on-line they might be cheaper than you can find on-line failing that give Toxo a shout he might be able to smash that price ?
i cant comment on the part number but the price sounds about right,

So, that's the right part number for the 7 inch housing and i assume the original top cover fits all ok?

And yes if just replaces the same bit on the older one and everything still fits to it.

And yes if just replaces the same bit on the older one and everything still fits to it.
not all the parts are the same you will also need the 7" housings cover as the slope on the sides is a different angle i think both parts will run you just under £100 if memory serves
