Any ideas guys? last week a started to hear a knock when i broke, originally i thought something was sliding forward in the car when i broke but i have ruled that out, windows open it is definitely coming from front passenger wheel. I took wheel off had a look around, nothing seems odd. Now if started to hear and feel a constant knocking when im driving, not as loud as the brake knock but a definite fast rhythmic knock when driving. Any ideas?

Update...

ok i took the wheel off, and took of caliper, the first caliper pin is fine, moves in and out easily and the rubber seal is in tack, the second pin in seazed in place and the seal is torn (assumed thats why its siezed), Reckon thats causing the knocking? I have tried with all my might for 2 hours to budge this pin with some heavy duty equiptment and its safe to say this pin aint moving! So if you reckon this is whats causing the issue i need to buy a new caliper holder? i dont want new pistons there fine, its just the bracket they fit on, can these easily be brought?

any advise would be great

The bracket can be bought from Lexus/Toyota. The slider pin should have a hex head on it though so you should be able to get a socket or spanner on it to turn it and free it up. It takes a while - I'd got one that would eventually turn freely but still wouldn't slide out and I ended up removing it with a hammer & punch.

Have a look here: http://www.outlawjapclub.co.uk/forum/sho...php?t=7955

I bet it's the bottom one that's seized?

yep its the bottom one, and seriously this pin wont budge, i even got a socket wrench on it and used a pressure jack on the handle, the wrench ended up lifting the car of my other jack and still didnt budge the pin. its well n truly fooked!

I'd see if you can get the bracket from a breaker. If not they are over £100 from Lexus!

i've managed to get a bracket from a breaker for £15, he assures me both pins move freely so that should do the trick.

Do you think that could be the cause of the knock im hearing when i break n stuff?

It's certainly possible. Even if it's not, you will be overheating your brakes and unevenly wearing your pads with it like that, so for the sake of £15 it's worth doing!

Make sure all the spring clips are there, particularly the V shaped ones that go in the tops of the pads. Loose pads can clonk.

will do, its definitely having an effect on my pads, when i took them out there being worn severely on both edges so on the side each pad looks like a pyramid
