I'm about to have a poke about underneath my car to find what is causing this irritating noise. Anyone got either a diagram of gearbox to diff or a **** good set of pictures with some arrows pointing at the bits that could be rattling?

Cheers!

I reckon it's actually a bush in the rear lower arm causing the problem anyway, we checked that out and ran it in gear with the wheels off. No noise at all, even at 5000 rpm Big Grin

Anyone got any idea how much money I should be looking at for the lower arm bush replacement? It's the one right by the brake disk/drum assembly.

Are you still working on this ? If so, is it front or rear ? (I am guessing rear by you mentioning the diff)

Which bush in these diagrams ?

Stevie - I've bought a replacement for the loose one already! It's 90105-14082(2). Going to take it down to John at some point and fit them in, then get the front wheel bearings done.

Thanks for those diagrams, I'll definitely be needing them again.

No problem, but sorry, that part is just a bolt/nut/washer combo, isn't it ? Not the bush, which seems to be part of the suspension arm itself ? So was it the bolt itself that was the problem and not the bush ?

Some bushes are available separately, but for some you have to get a whole arm unless you can find a third-party alternative.

Sorry if I am going over old stuff which is already sorted though.

I've got a whole new pair of arms with camber adjustable polybushes. They might need pressing, but I'll be taking them up to the J-unit for fitting Big Grin
