Mainly as I shoot in manual mode most of the time now, so it has greater control. Plus it has a bit better tech, faster shutter, and wireless commander control for off camera flashes.

I would love a D300s, or obviously full frame pro-body - but they are silly money. The D90 offered exactly what I needed for a reasonable cost.

The biggest bonus for me would be the built in auto focus. It does restrict on what lenses you can buy unless you have deep pockets to get the AF-S ones.

Are you an amateur or going pro then? What do you use the 105mm f2.8 lens for?

It is indeed a handy bonus having built in auto focus Smile

The 105mm is for macro. It's a true 1:1 lens, and the image quality on it is freaking amazing. Worth every penny. It's also good for street shots - though you do have to be taking pics of things at a reasonable distance

I'm definately an amateur - it's a hobby of mine and nothing more.
