Right so i have the Masa R34 Front end conversion ready to go on my car but at present it still has the side indicators/markers on the front wings

I HATE THESE THINGS ON CARS

so can i take them off if i replace with indicators in the wing mirrors ?

give the front wings a smooth out

will it still pass a MOT
will my policeman get funny on the road if i dont have them ?

Side repeaters and side markers are 2 different things! I take it you're on about side repeaters as you want to put indicators in the wing mirrors. Side markers tend to be nearer the corners of cars, usually for the US market.

The only rules about them are that they are visible from the side and rear of the car at a certain angle. I'll dig out the blurb and check.

Yes, I am pretty sure your side repeaters can be anywhere on the front half of the side of the car. As long as they are visible from a certain angle (basically almost 180 degrees). Certainly smoothing factory side repeaters and replacing with ones in the wing mirrors is never usually a problem on any vehicle.

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

Oh and of course the new side repeaters (wherever they are) will need to be 'E' marked...

lol... make sure you give them the SM mark then - otherwise they're not suitable for use on the side of a car Wink

I dunno about flush mounting them, you will have to have them protrude a little to be visible from the rear of the car. It doesn't have to be much though, just enough to see the light.

Have a look at a recent Merc or BMW, to get a clearer idea!
