I read somewhere that people were having probs fitting sot cables to the factory head units that have the amp?

Anyone shed some light on this for me.

I'v got a cheap one off ebay comming soon to fit to my 3200LS colour, its already in the car and working but its only on a seprarate speaker under the glove box and dos'nt turn the music down automatically.

Any help appreciated.

Martin.

Yeah, its the cable that connects the bluetooth parrot system to the oem stereo so your conversation is piped through the front speakers and the oem stereo auto mutes.

When. 1st fitted mine I still had the standard stereo so I cut the speaker feeds coming from the amp and wired them to my own ISO connectors s I could plug the parrot unit straight in this way it cuts the audio from the speakers I also then piggy backed the 12v constant 12v switched and ground to allowit to all function there is no record of me doing it in my project thread as I was planning on new stereos at the time etc

On the plus side, the headunit doesnt need to come out, just unclip the wires from the back of the amp, commect the SOT cable then re-connect the wire you removed from amp into SOT cable then connect the parrot kit up. (I have the ck3100, so didn't use all the wires, I think you may need them all)

Any change you can remember where the extra wires went to? And which is the mute wire and where does that connect to?
Any help would be great mate, cheers.

think i just tied the extra wires up as these must have been for the upgrage sound systems/parrot kits (The ones with the mp3 playback).

I think it was a blue wire off the top of my head, was a while back I fitted it, I know on the autoleads kits it has what wire does what etched onto the actual wire.
