lil_rob Hi guys just wondering if anyone knew what sort of power standard Internals can take? Have some plans very hush hush hopefully be ready for rising sun next year but need to no if need forged Internals lol cheers in advance guys!!
If it's a project that will provide enough power to be worth keeping it secret I'd say you will probably have to go forged (supra internals) as the IS200 engine is made of cheese. lol

08-02-2019, 01:19 PM #4did the Horsham Developments test car engine ever go bang? I know they were pushing the standard internals to try and find the max? From what i remember it was proving to be able to handle more than was commonly thought so long as revs were not increased which had been known to bend rods.

I dont think they blew it up, but i dont think its very healthy anymore. I seem to recall they were at around 280 on the standard internals, but like dan says, its also the raised RPM that helps to kill the rods

08-02-2019, 02:13 PM #9i think rabs still has his short block with gte internals still for sale, would be a case of just swapping the head and oil pan from your engine onto andys block and putting the engine back in ready to go, and then if your still feeling rich attack the cam shafts, valves springs and retainers in the head if you decide you want more boost lol then you got to hope you dont break the gearbox, i got to do all this to my engine too, fun isnt it
