Moving house
Moving house
Hi all, seeing as this is a national forum i thought i would ask for some opinions/advise
My partner and i are looking at moving away from southampton, for multiple reasons we want a fresh start. So the question is what areas are nice to live in with a young family (18 month old and 2,1/2 year old)
We also want to try and get somewhere coastal or within a reasonable distance of beaches etc but need an area that isnt hugely expensive (around £750 per month for a 3 bedroom house)
I know its quite a random request but would like to know peoples opinions
Thanks all
Ross
House next to my girlfriends up for rent £650 ish pcm, 3 bed detached, off road parking for one car, garage, very quite cul de sac (only 7 houses!) and about 1 mile from shops and the beach (5 min walk to Morrisons), 25 mins the other way and you in the country side!
And the neighbours are lovey people lol.
Depends on your ties I think you can get a good house not far from the sea etc in Grimsby and Norfolk even Rhyl is quite a nice place relatively cheap if memmory serves
I'm in Exeter, not too far from you. It is close to many beaches and to Dartmoor, it is a historic city with quite a few good schools. However, the rents here are high, and for £750 I get a central town house basement flat with 2 bedrooms and a garden (I'd call it one and a half bedrooms, as the 2nd is so small!) It is expensive to rent in the city, but on the outskirts you could get what you need for that money. It could be an option for you, but if you are looking nationwide, then I guess most places could be an option!

There is a lot of cheap property around Peterborough, if you go east/north side it's not that far from the coast either. On the down side, it is near Peterborough :p
reco2k Where abouts is that?
We dont have any ties, all my family are in Southampton but thats what roads were invented for lol, Main thing is finding a nice house in a nice area, preferably with a garage and off road parking. We are just looking for options at the moment and ideas

Your best looking up north. If not Blackpool, where I live in morecambe is 40 mins up the road from there and you'll get a nice house for that money.
