It's a £100 eBay, no name, manifold. how much R&D do you think is going to be in it?

I'd say some. But not their own. At that price it is probably a Chinese copy of another design - which probably had some R&D!

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

They are actually £200, but every now and then one pops up for auction. One sold last week for about £102 I think so that's probably what he got.

he isnt going to be changing the lengths. he is literately going to have 2 cuts made on it. Turn it slightly and then re welded in position.
The car actually seems to have lost power since fitting the manifolds so dont think these ones have that much R&D behind it.

On a N/A car that actually doesn't surprise me as they need the backpressure created by the cats. People have even said they lost HP using the super expensive TDI Katana manifold which is a work of art and had a lot of R&D go into it.

I lost power with the supercharger fitted when I fitted the Katana Manifold. The car just cant get the fuel in for the amount of air being moved! Proves its a good manifold - car just needed mapping.

On the NA cars you will lose low down Torque not BHP due to loss of back pressure. The BHP is most likely to be higher.....

Was Supercharged Racing Green IS200 Sport. Now APR Stage 1 Seat Leon Cupra (220 Bhp).

I'm getting confused with my horses and torques, normally it's torque you lose by taking away back pressure as you said. But someone definitely said they lost HP with a TDI manifold, might even have been you! lol

No I am on about Stixx's car which is supercharged as I been helping through from fitting the charger to now and it is definitely down on power after fitting this manifold and de-cat

ok pic of my bit of extra braket i made! put the removable bar in under it, it dose'nt line up with the hole so i welded a nut on under side of my bracket, the removable bar is in just holding under the bracket i made, is tightened on the bottom but not on the top, as it out of line with the hole, hope it makes sense? but it all solid had charger running before i made bracket and was bit shakey! after solid! will get a sound clip up! charger not running tho!
