Hi peeps. Just got myself a bargain off fleabay.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140729859269?s...500wt_1413

Now i'm not quite sure what to do with it when it arrives. I guess i'll need to get the motor working first. Is that an easy task ? Once i've done that i'm thinking about doing the following :-
  • get the screen working and push my phones tv out on it some how
  • replace the screen with my phone or a cheapo android device
  • replace the screen with a lilliput monitor

So whats the easiest/best option there in peoples opinion ?
(new ideas also welcome)

Nice bargain you got there, although being the smaller screen unit you will need to do some work to fit a bigger unit in there. take a look at Rabsters is200 thread, he fitted a 7 inch Lilliput screen in his one. I'm sure if you get stuck he will be willing to help out, after all, this is his club!

So by the sound of things i'll need to fire up the dremmel. I'm leaning towards using my phone as the contract is up soon (sgs3 please Smile ).

Is getting the motor to work a difficult job ?

i use small spade crimps instead to connect to the wires going into the back of the satnav unit, that was you can disconnect it easily when you need to remove it for any reason.
