what a week.......
what a week.......
Mondays are mondays, always busy and fight to catch up with the desruction from the weekend and this was no different to ever other monday.
Then comes Tuesday and one of the guys from the workshop gets sacked. Only 3 of us in the workshop doing the work of about 5 people, now down to just 2.
Mid week and work is still snowballing up but we are just coping, just.
Then comes thursday, guy i work with gets promoted out of the workshop to 'Technical Manager'. We both had the option of going for it but a wanted to stay in the workshop so didnt apply. Really happy for the other guy though as he will make an awesome boss. my current boss is moving to Australia. However this means he will mainly be out of the workshop and in the office. They then ask to speak to me and i get promoted to 'Workshop Supervisor'. Shocked to say the least. At this point in time its only me in the workshop, so im just supervising myself lol. However we will be taking on another 2 technicians that will work with me.
Friday, work still continuing to snowball but the futures now looking brighter. Although i get the felling im going to be busy for a long time now. looking forward to the day when it will ease up slightly.
Quite glad its a 3 day weekend now so i have time to sit back and reflect on a manic week. Next week will be a little more relaxed, well for me anyway. Flying out to Barcalona on wednesday to watch the spanish F1. Will be epic, Sarah cant wait either.
Anyway enough randomness from me lol

Thats why im not on here much as i just seem to be mental with work. lol And then i build the kitcar on my lunch breaks and build my house at weekends. Hopefully something will ease up haha
It's still the work of 5, but the newbies don't know that just think they have to work hard, and your not bothered as your promoted. Lol
Congrats though mate, have to have them working on the buggy for you.

Well thats the thing. Im still in the workshop doing what i love but get more responsability. Need to organise the workshop better so things run more effeciently so its not a fight the whole time.
