Hi guys,

I posted this on another owners club but thought I'd copy it here too in case you can help.

---------

Hoping you can help me out. I picked up my 350Z only the other day knowing the CD player in the bose head unit was a little temperamental.
I had a quick look at this Pioneer AppRadio (http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/products/25/299...index.html) as I really like the idea of connecting my android phone to it so I can use the maps on it. However I wasn't sure if the steering wheel controls will still work?

I've been reading the guides on here about what cables ill need but I am struggling to find exactly what I need!
First things first, here is a picture of the back of the head unit (thanks pioneer)

So it has two RCA outs and an RC in, so I assume, providing I get the right leads, be able to connect the wheel controls and bose speakers.
What I found so far was this (http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/ict-29-6...aptor.html) which should make the controls work.
And this (http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/cel-ais2...o-rca.html) which should let me connect the head unit to the speakers.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. Ive changed head units before but I'm no expert and I'm new to the 350Z's!

Also any suggestions for alternative head units very welcome!

Thank!

You should have connectors on the ISO lead mate. Check that to see what its got as well. Have you got the head unit yet or are you just looking into it at the moment? The multi pin connector on the back is what the ISO lead should connect to and that has all your other inputs/outputs on it such as sub out etc...hope that helps

If you have the Bose system I don't think it's a plug and play to make the new head unit work. I will have a look around for you but I'm 90% sure mate Sad

Thanks Rabs, I've not ordered the head unit yet but I did get the cables and facia found here http://incartec.co.uk/nissan/1929/1036/2...owser.aspx Figured i'd need these regardless

If it needs some wiring changes that not an issue, Ive got some cable lock connectors and know how to work soldering iron.

I did find this which shows you how to wire it up, is that what you mean?

Not really. I did read through your car development thread though and it does look cool I must say.
