That stuff is unbelievable if true, and Piquet must have been pretty p****d off with Renault to pretty much end his career by making this public.....

Maybe he's hoping to get some sort of dispensation for being the whistle-blower here ? But you would have thought he'd have got credit for that at the time, not for keeping quiet on it for ages and then only spilling the beans when he's a disgruntled former employee ?

Agree that this is much worse than spygate, obviously it's based on what we were told to be true but as long as the upper management didn't know about it it wasn't as bad.
This is just totally ridiculous that the two at the top of management could conspire to do something so unbelievable as make one of their cars crash, and for the driver to go along with it! And what would have happened if Piquet had been injured? It's truly disgusting, and personally I wouldn't really care if Renault were totally kicked out for this as it's impossible to know how far through the company this was known about.
At the end of the day, how can we know for sure that Alonso wasn't in on it too?
