parthiban That stuff is unbelievable if true, and Piquet must have been pretty p****d off with Renault to pretty much end his career by making this public.....

Flavio Briatore and Pat Symonds have quit the Renault team over this. Blimey, it looks like the allegations are true, and this is a damage limitation exercise (e.g. "don't punish us too badly, Mr FIA, the guys responsible aren't here any more").
Sounds very likely they will be found guilty. What happened to McLaren will be nothing compared to this - deliberately crashing in order to Fix the race is far more serious.
Yeah, agreed. Race fixing has surely got to be even more serious than the Mclaren Spy-gate stuff.
The FIA hearing is on Monday.
The other sackings on Tuesday - if there is a team left.
Was reading about this earlier today in disbelief - I can't believe they could actually have done this.
Agree that this is much worse than spygate, obviously it's based on what we were told to be true but as long as the upper management didn't know about it it wasn't as bad.
This is just totally ridiculous that the two at the top of management could conspire to do something so unbelievable as make one of their cars crash, and for the driver to go along with it! And what would have happened if Piquet had been injured? It's truly disgusting, and personally I wouldn't really care if Renault were totally kicked out for this as it's impossible to know how far through the company this was known about.
At the end of the day, how can we know for sure that Alonso wasn't in on it too?
Renault have surely got to be in big, big trouble ! Mclaren lost all their constructors points and got an enormous fine, so what's going to happen Renault for something even worse ?
