thanks speedfreek

i do try but only have basic kit at the moment would like to get another lens but there so expensive. Ive been looking at those converter things but not sure on them

I'd avoid converters if you can.

They reduce light intake of the lens quite a bit, which means less depth of field unless its a well lit picture anyway. Can also make the autofocus struggle to get a good lock.

Plus unless you spend decent money, the quality of the glass WILL let your camera down, even if people say 'I've got one and mine turn out fine'

Good glass is must if you're serious about picture quality.

The rock formation looks like a big ugly prehistoric fish launching out of the sand to eat something and the actual fish I thought was its eye, a reptilian evil eye. [/COLOR]

i didnt know it was gonna get to her when i took the pic Sam,

she turned to run and the tide pulled her legs and she fell over lol we had only been there 5 mins and she was already soaked i had a tough choice grab her and drop the camera or point and laugh until she got up out of the 12" of water

I made my choice and was happy with it

some really nice photos there mate :wink: im new to the old dslr camera world ..have a canon 600d now as you probrably saw at show lol! have kit lens with it 18-55mm and also got a tamron 70mm-300mm but as you say lens are really expensive for canons own your looking 400-500 quid just for a wide angle lens which id love..maybe one day..

if you get chance have a look on my flickr acount user markleve heres one i took of the deep other week still learning but so much to learn on these cameras Wink
