It performed admirably until one of the Toyotas put it in the wall. It was so cool, I want one so badly. Although it was a classless car (as it was a technology experiment) it outperformed all but the highest class of racing present at LM.

Unsure why that posted twice.

I have another interesting fact about the Deltawing - the 'tub' (as in the monocoque around the driver) is actually from one of the really badly performing LMP1 Aston Martins from 2011 - this meant the car didn't have to do any crash testing as the safety cell had already been tested. So, no deltawings were harmed until the actual race.

After Ant Davidson's HUGE crash in the #7 Toyota there was a safety car, and unfortunately this happened on the restart:
