Thats the insurance sorted thanks to LV's American car section a complete rip off at £255 a year:crying:

"Life's goal is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body. But, rather to skid in sideways........
totally worn out and broken, shouting 'Holy ****, WHAT A RIDE!'"

OK after re wiring the whole of the lighting system to get her UK road legal, I took her for her 1st ever UK MOT.

She passed without any advisory against her at all. The examiner said she looked like new underneath, not bad for a 11 year old car.

Emissions were very good very very good for a 5.7L V8 -

Fast idle - 0.005%
Natural idle - 0.013
lambda 1.012

These California emission controlled vehicles are very very good.

I did the wiring myself - although it must be said Toxo was ready to help as ever.

Thanks guys so happy to get this done.

A shame Toxo couldn't get his hands dirty and help but being out of work and not having anything else to do I made a start and finished quicker then I thought.

Been a while since updating this thread.

Power now confirmed on dyno at 361bhp thanks to a little fiddling with the ECU (thanks to SLP for developing the software). The Exhaust cut out accounts for 6bhp at WOT only.

Brake fluid worn out and full of water contamination. Pays to check brake fluid if you are, as I was, suffering from severe break fade - at 70mph it was a difficult job to slow down quickly, by the time it slowed to 40mph it was as if there was nothing left to slow the car down with - not fun.

Front and rear brake pads heavily glazed over and fairly worn out. Replacing these as they are kind-of of important lol Funny thing is rear pads are more expensive then front - £100 all round for uprated pads can't be bad.

Thats it for the moment.
