Ok so i was out in the 350z today and got forced off the road by a woman in a skoda (always said skoda drivers were c*ck's) anyway i was on a roadabout turning left and in the left lane indicating there is no where else for me to go unless i intend on going al the way around the roaund about which would cut people up.

so as i come into the junction this skoda is on my right and at my rear quarter she decides she wants this exit top and make the turn into the junction, as a result i either let her slide down the side of my car or turn towards the kerb well you can guess which i chose so i now have this damage to my car

Anyway i tried to get her to pull over by playing nice i flashed the lights pointed at lay-bys etc but she refused so i pulled over to look at the damage saw how bad it was andd decided i was going to chase to get her insurance details as i dont really wanna pay for damage that is down to someone else poor driving (skoda) so followed her till i had a stretch of road where i could get her to pull over by ANY MEANS which resulted in parking in the middle of the road

she claimed she didnt know who she was insured with as her husband deals with it she also didnt seem to know her home number so i will be going to the police station in the morning i think and take her to court for dangerous driving and driving with out due care and attention

this is where the incident occurred

i was coming off the roundabout onto coggeshall road was maybe 50 yards around the corner when she forced me off she claims i was undertaking her.....

what are you views looking at the map

should i be pursuing her and take her to the cleaners ?

Yes pursue her for damages, you won't get criminal charges like driving without due care etc - police have to witness this to make it stick.

Go to the police and tell them what happened, they will contact her and take it from there - for a £80 refurb I wouldn't think they will go through insurance? With luck she won;t be insured and then she can pick 10 points up and a lovely fine.

Ouch, I feel your pain Sad

As above, you won't be able to get criminal charges like that against her. But no reason why you can't teach her a lesson.

This little bit of information may come in handy...

Quote:The offence of failing to stop is also likely to be made out even if the driver of the vehicle stops momentarily but fails to provide sufficient details to allow for the identity of the owner of the vehicle to be ascertained.

The driver of a vehicle who stops after an accident but does not provide details when asked, by the driver of the other vehicle, or any other person in the vicinity, it is possible for the charge of failing to stop to be made out.

And is this where the incident took place...

She needs to learn she can't get away with driving like an ****, otherwise you wont be her only victim, you probably aren't her first, and if it's hubby's insurance I doubt he'll be amused when he finds out

Absolutely, 100%, definitely pursue the matter. People need to realise they will get hit in the pocket (as a minimum) if they don't pay attention on the roads.

IS200 Sport - Sold
Mazda 6 MPS - Zoom Zoom!

Modifications
Completed:

Currently 280bhp/295lbft; 3" Meercat custom exhaust; KW Suspension; FMIC; SSP; HPFP; Custom Stainless Steel Dials - for the moment, the only set in the world!! (Till the group buy for MPSOC anyway  )

In Progress:

E-Tuning remap ongoing via Cobb Accessport; Braided brake lines; Stubby aerial; Tinted repeaters and sidelights; 3 Port Boost Control Solenoid; 3" HTP Intake
