Right guys, I've currently got 2 cars, the lex and a toyota yaris which the other half drives but as the yaris is getting older and value dropping I have been thinking of getting something else and selling the yaris but I really dont know what to get. Does anyone have any ideas? It cant be too big, needs to be cheap to insure, jap, and an auto.

Keep the old yaris on the road.
Why invest good money in a newer car for it to loose value due to depreciation., where as your old yaris does the job and probably cost nothing to run and maintain per year.

Well that s my opinion and I'm a tight when it comes to money and buying new cars, I simply can not justify wasting good money due to depreciation.

u got a good point phil the yaris is faultless but its a 51 plate so starting to get on a bit and as the other half uses it I think she needs a slightly bigger safer car as the yaris isnt very planted at all on the motorway. I'm only testing the water at the moment anyway so may just keep it but if i can get something better for the same amount as I got the yaris for then fair enough.

Another IS or a Corolla have already crossed my mind! But....the I need something economical as well so another IS is out of the question and the other half wont get insured on it either I bet so a corolla looks good to me and they've gone down in price a lot. Which is the best spec to go for if looking for an auto and anything I need to look out for? Any other suggestions also?
