Matt_C No idea - I'm really hoping someone will link to a kit they've bought, or that is right for what I want, so I know what I'm looking for!

I bought THESE, probably no need to spend that much any more but I've been really happy with them.

The reflector bulbs do give you a neater cut off as my earlier pic, but annoyingly the holders in the IS200 aren't quite straight so it isn't perfect.

The IS200 will pass with HID's in mate. I know that mot rules are changing but I spoke to my mechanic when I had my mot done in march and asked him about the HID rumour and he said not to worry and its something that they won't be doing people on. I had my HID's in the car at the time and he wanted a set himself!

This is what my mechanic said though so I can't be held responsible if other mechanics looks at it differently but from what I am aware there's nothing happening with MOT's and HID's.

Thanks for that - and using the list Regan posted, I want the 9006 HB4 bulbs, in 6000k, correct?

Not knowing anything about installing HID's though, is the above kit gonna be as simple plug'n'play as say, this kit;

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-IS200-99...608wt_1021

Which is only £8 more, but is from a UK source...

However, the only thing that concerns me is this (from the one above)

"H4 Bi-Xenon, MOVING-XENON BULBS

In a typical low beam conversion, a twin filament halogen lamp is replaced by a single arc discharge burner. After this installation you will lose the use of your high beam.

XENONSHOP.CO.UK HID presents a solution to this problem by combining low and high beam functionality in a single lamp. This is done by simply moving the light source to reflect at the high beam's normal position. The HID light operation is not interrupted during the switch from high to low."

Now I presume I don't have to worry about this, since I'll only be replacing the dipped beam bulbs, leaving the high beam bulbs as they are, so flicking between high and dipped beam will be just as it is at present, and the "moving" bulbs won't actually move?
