Advice on a Clio issue
Ok so we just had the Clio serviced by a main dealer. This was done maybe a month a go.
Shortly after the service we noticed a residue on the floor under the car so back it went turns out a gasket had failed due to the service they have replaced and all is fine no more leaks
However
last night the car sounded rough and was struggling to get up to speed. Now the engine on a clip is normally not to noisy. But now is sounds like a diesel
The aa been out and have said there is nothing wrong but I disagree it almost sounds like a misfire but no error codes to back this up
Any ideas other than take it back and tear them a new one
coil. such a common problem
not allways do they fire a light up. with the engine running unplug one at a time and see if it makes a difference to the way it idels. if one makes no difference then that is the cyl with the isseu
Surely the issue is that you're apparently in some french piece of **** car...
You may find by unplugging one it can also affect another cylinder because if I remember correctly on certain Renault it can also cause a misfire on another cylinder, its just the way they are wired.
I need to find out for you mate...
But a defo misfire will make a Renault engine sound like a bag of nails due to an engine imbalance and makes gears and chains rattle like hell.
clios are also prone for crank sensors. very cheap to fix but it would make the car cut out now and then and not start. i dont think it will cause a missfire
It will re occour once the ambient air contains more moisture or when it ****** down
