Seeing as that was a no go I thought I'd investigate the rest of the car. Popped the door card off to see what fitment the speakers were like and to see whether it had broken central locking or no central locking (the answer was no). The condition under the door card is quite frankly amazing. Every bolt looks new, the plastic sheet is clean and untorn. Every trim clip just clicks off instead of breaking. Ridiculous considering its age.

Tried to get started with the CV joints tonight. Didn't get very far because the sodding wheel nuts have a cap over the top held in with these bolts, which I don't have the key for.

CV joint done. Putting the manifold on tonight and replacing the gearbox oil, weather permitting, and then it's MOT ready!

I really like the way the Nissan is put together. Everything is in sensible places and easily accessible.
