Ah I see. When the MK1 MR2 guys fit larger pulleys to their superchargers they have to use a ford idler. So I guess you will have to try a few and see where you end up! At least from that picture you know it's marginally smaller than the alternator pulley.

Ah might be worth looking at, still with the 3s-ge engine so may fit mine, do you know what model, escort maybe?

Nah MK1 MR2 is a 4A not a 3S. Also I made a mistake. It seems the enlarged pulley suppliers provide a ford pulley which is a piece of **** and falls to pieces, the recommended replacement is from a V6 camry. They use the top timing belt idler. Its ~60mm I believe (maybe 63?)

Edit: Found this.

Camry idler is 62mm diameter
40mm deep (wide?)
Mounting hole = 12mm diameter

"The Camry idler is very solid looking, and also benefits from having a 30mm diameter recess for the socket makes socket access easier....... "

Right getting somewhere, got an alternator cheap off ebay so did a quick mock up waiting for bearing to come and will get some pictures up :biggrin:
