IS200 Flywheel Differences?

Does anyone know why there are different options for the flywheel on pre 2002 models and post 2002 models?

I know they are different from Altezza flywheels because the IS200 one has 6 bolts, and the Altezza uses 8 (not sure if there are any other differences?)

I'm looking at getting a lightened flywheel, but Nengun only seem to stock the pre 2002 version for the 1G-FE, so is that a more common version, or do they actually both fit?

I'm not sure mate, I know there both dual mass flywheels but that's about it,

I know someone said ages ago u could weld it up to make it a single plate but other than that, and that was when I was looking at changing my clutch to a fast road clutch

Not much help I grant you

There must be something specific to the years, regardless of whether it's dual mass or not.

Like a hole in another place, or a thicker friction surface or something. Or it might be that if I fit an aftermarket clutch anyway, that it doesn't make any difference which one I use, but I thought someone on here is bound to know Smile
