My 2001 T-Sport
My 2001 T-Sport
I've bought a gen 7 Celica T-Sport from a girl who had owned it for 5 years but had hardly driven it, which means it has been stationary for a long time.
When I looked at it the first time the check engine light was lit. I looked up the fault code and realized it could be very expensive to have it fixed, so I made her a very low offer, thinking she would never accept it. She did, though, and all of a sudden I owned a Celica.
I drove the car home, connected my iPhone and used DashCommand to clear the fault code. The check engine light went away and hasn't returned since :tongue_smilie:
Since the car had been standing under a tree for a very long time it didn't look happy at all. It was covered in leaves and dirt and the headlights were pretty cloudy.
I've now washed the car and wet sanded the headlights and it's starting to look pretty decent. The paint is actually in surprisingly good condition. There is no visible rust and there are hardly any stone chips either.
Here it is.
I haven't yet decided if I'm going to keep it or sell it in the spring. If i do keep it I will definitely lower it, but apart from that I don't think I'm going to do any major modifications.
For your fault code I had it not long back.
Very very simple fix. Take off and clean your maf! That is all
Chances are like mine it will be clogged up:thumbup1: the secondary air system is just that, that throws air into the exhaust to keep emissions down, but if there is a fault with the pump or anything it is actually a different code that will be thrown up
Car looks well, love the spoiler and quite like the wheels
dimis Looked really good!So what will be your next car? Thanks mate

P.Lindblom Thanks mate
Well, I'm currently back in my IS200 again. I'll probably drive it through the winter and move on to another car in the spring. It's going to be hard to replace it, but it't time to get something newer. I would like an IS 250, but we'll see what happens. It's probably going to be a Toyota or a Lexus at least.
