sprinter2012 Worth a shot Wink

What you've got planned sounds like a sensible idea though, just make it look good but keep it practical. And I can totally understand your reluctance to charge it. Sad

I'm not exactly sure on the intake layout of the 460, I think on previous models it was easy enough to add an induction kit as the TB was central on the engine quite near the front.

But if the OEM setup looks okay airflow-wise, then a couple of K&N drop ins and some reflective heat tape on the underside of the airboxes like you did on the AMG will probably do the trick. I actually swapped back from my induction kit to the OEM airbox with heatwrapping after seeing your AMG thread. Smile

Here's the LS460 intake with covers removed:

The only way I can possibly see any improvement on that would be to go straight from the air scoop to the TB with a very large single filter in the middle. But then its got two MAF sensors that would need placing right in front of the TB, and I think the air would be really turbulent with such a short intake system?

I cant see a traditional cone style intake working as it'll be drawing in too much heat and won't have anywhere near the surface area of those two panel air filters?

Looks like a work of art that intake system - leave it as it is - for the minimal gains its not worth playing with.

This^^^ Having seen the setup now I stick by my previous post, high flow drop in filters and some reflective tape is all I'd do.

jimxms Wheels are definitely happening at some point, but its a matter of waiting until some clean 19" JDM deep dish split rims ones come up for sale.

Surely got to go bigger than 19s - aren't the standard wheels you have on at the mo 19s? :w00t:

They are indeed mate, but for some reason I don't like the idea of 20's. The 19's have just had £800 of tyres fitted too which might play a part in it :p
