Dvd rom drive is sata, not sure if my lappy is sata 1,2 or 3, its 3 years old so id say sata 2.

Gonna look in the sales next year for a better deal maybe, and get a bigger gb SSD.

avoid OCZ, they are not in good shape as a company. I've got a vertex in my machine, but intel is definitely the way to go.
